Prom Dresses, anyone?
Fecha: Marzo 11, 17:57
Hello fellow rockstar idealists! I wanted to inform you all of a great opportunity to unload yourself of uneeded/unwanted dresses in your closet. I know you all have been to countless dances, or maybe have bridesmaids dresses you will never wear again. I am working at Santana House, a center for gang violence reduction and we are holding a Prom Dress giveaway for teens in the area. With this economy, I am having a super hard time getting the donations needed and would REALLY appreciate your help.

Thanks Everyone!!

Senior Prom is almost a right of passage in this country: the hair, the make-up, the nails and most importantly the dress! But many high school seniors in East Los Angeles might not attend Prom this year because the cost of all of these items is just too expensive, especially in this economy. That’s why the Santana House is having their 2nd Annual Prom Connection and you can change all that! We know that some of you might have closets stocked with dresses you no longer want or need.

We need your new or lightly-used Prom Dresses! We want dresses you are no longer need, including bridesmaid, prom or other formal dresses that high school seniors in East LA might want to wear to their Senior Prom. Email your friends. Post your drive on your Facebook status. Help us collect 150 dresses by March 29th! All donations are tax deductible and will make the difference in a young girl’s high school experience (monetary donations always welcome too). Dresses may be dropped off at:

1721 Griffin Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90031
(Enter the building on Sichel St, one block West of Griffen and take a right into the parking lot. We are in the back left (NE) corner).

The Santana House Youth Action Center was created by teens for teens as part of the Violence Intervention Program, with a mission to involve young men and women in the leadership capacity to build positive futures and prevent violence in their own lives, homes and communities. If you would like to arrange a pick-up, or want to learn more about the Santana House, please feel free to call or email Anne Marie: 323.221.4131 x 170, aherwig@vip-cmhc.org

I really appreciate your support, everyone! Thanks again.
