Welcome to the network. As the unofficial network coordinator, I'm always interested in getting feedback from people to improve what the network has to offer.

At every monthly meeting, I always ask new members the same question:
What do you expect from this network?

And so I pose the same question to you all. I'm looking forward to your thoughts and hope that you can make it to one of our next events.

The net work can help the initiative taken by members to help a social cause.I am Lourdu Arul Joseph from GRACE an NGO from Chennai,India.I am the director of GRACE.I hold Masters in Social Work.GRACE is working for the benefits of children, women, destitutes and victims of disasters.GRACE is a registered non for profit ,charitable NGO started on May 24,2006.It is a small initiative.We help people through donations received from people.If any body interested to help we gratefully receive their moral as well as financial support.

Hi Karen and network,

I'm hoping that this group will help me find contacts with similar interest in and around LA. I am hoping to start up my own non-profit group sometime in the future. I am in an MA program in Pasadena which focuses on Human Development. My thesis is based on active learning, especially learning through the arts and technology. I would like to start a non-profit of some sort that helps teachers bring active learning into the classroom. I have a BA in studio art and over 10 years experience in the IT field. My passion is for education and I am looking at ways I can get back into the classroom full-time.
I am really just looking for a sense of community and solidarity in a group. People to share ideas with. People to connect with. A place where I can share resources and possibly some teaching work.

You can set up a campaign on The Point, that is then activated when the
right number of people join to get to that tipping point. It's wisdoms of the crowd meets activism.
