Founded in 1973, the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) was the first national, nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting brain tumor research, while offering information and support to brain tumor patients and their families. This year, the Des Plaines, Ill.-based ABTA will fund more than $2.6 million in research, and provide more than 1.3 million services and resources to brain tumor patients, their family members, and health care providers
