Mission:
Green Map System is an adaptable
framework for charting the
interconnections between nature and
culture in hometown environments.
Each locally-created Green Map is a
fresh perspective that encourages
discovery and personal involvement,
greener daily choices, networking
and replication of greening and quality of life
initiatives.
Our NYC office is the home of NYC's
local Green Apple Map and the
development center/clearinghouse
for the award-winning local-global eco-mapping
network, which became a non-profit
organization in 2000.
Currently, over 325 Green Map teams
are active in 46 countries, with 220 published
Green Maps -- all projects are
linked to greenmap.org. Your
participation and help for this community media
movement is welcome!
