I am a 27 years old, graduate engineer of architecture (not architect yet - in gemany we have to have worked as an architect for at least 2 years, after graduation, to become one!). I started my studies in 2001 at the 'University of Karlsruhe', spend 1 year studying in Spain and half a year working in Sydney, Australia. During my studies and even before, i always loved to design and create 'things' in real terms. When I was 13 years old, i built my first 4 story (6,3m) building in my parent's garden. Manigfold projects - also a skate 'mini ramp' (10x4m), an 10m diameter party dome (student architecture competition) and an 9m high, rotating art installation for 'burning man 2007' followed...
In project teams I won several architectural competitions (2 student projects in Germany and Spain) and with the studio i worked with in Sydney we won a prominent competition for the new urban design of 'East Darling Harbour', Sydney.. During my studies also worked in different institutes at the 'University of Karlsruhe' where I gathered experience in different fields, such as 'sustainable urban development', construction design and graphic layouts for publications. I am particularly interested in challenges in the field of experimental construction, design and future living strategies especially in terms of energy efficiency - please feel free to contact me!
