I'm interested in participating in groups that both help the participants improve their knowledge and help reach out to the community to create sustainable ways of improvement/innovation so that communities can be self-sustaining. From my experience as an Indian and visiting India, a country with limited resources where people have learnt to squeeze the most out of what little they have, I've learnt the importance of sharing with each other and the crucial role and responsibility that each of us owes our communities. It's not about getting the most out of the world, but making the most out of what one has...as a rich nation, we've forgotten that. As a democratic nation with wonderful ideals, we owe it to ourselves and those around us to live up to those ideals.
