Registering as a Consultant

I just want to post a listing for my nonprofit client. Do I still need membership with Idealist?

Answer:

Yes. We require that all consultants, recruiting firms, vendors, and freelancers establish membership on Idealist for their company. Why? Because this ensures that we know who is responsible for placing listings on our site and who is responsible for payment. In addition, if a recruitment firm is not only placing a listing, but also managing the hiring process, there are individuals that want to know this information and be aware of who they are being reviewed by. Even if the consultant is not reviewing applications, not all job seekers wish to apply for positions posted by consultants for a variety of reasons. Idealist offers job seekers the consideration of knowing who has posted a specific position.
