How do I register for a Career or Graduate School fair?

Only those individuals registered for membership with Idealist.org are eligible to register online for one of our Fairs.


Once you have an Individual account, follow these steps to register for a fair:

1. Log in to your individual account from the right side of the homepage. You will be taken to your Control Panel.


2. Click on the "Find a career/grad fair" link from the Connect with others box on the right side of the screen.


3. Under "Idealist Fairs," click on either Nonprofit Career or Graduate School Fairs.
4. Click on the city where you want to attend a fair.
5. Scroll down until you see a box that says “Registration and Information” and click on “Registration”.
6. Fill out the requested information to complete the registration process.

I wish to attend a Career or Graduate School fair as a nonprofit organization or academic institution

Only those organizations and academic institutions registered for membership with Idealist are eligible to purchase space at one of our fairs. Please note that Government Agencies are not eligible to attend our Career Fairs. Thus, to sign up for a fair, you must first create an Individual account for yourself and then submit a profile of your organization or school for inclusion on Idealist.


Once your organization or academic institution is registered for membership with Idealist and you have access to its account, you can register for a fair by following these steps:

1. Log in to your individual account from the right side of the homepage. You will be taken to your Control Panel.
2. Click on the “Groups and Listings” tab and then on the “Edit&Post” link next to the name of your organization.
3. Click on the "Register for a Career Fair" or "Register for a Graduate Degree Fair" link found in the "You are managing" box on the right side of the screen.
4. Click on the city where you want to attend a fair.
5. Scroll down until you see a box that says “Registration and Information” and click on “Registration.”
6. Follow steps 1 through 4 to complete the registration process. Please make sure to select the “Bill me now” option on step 4, as otherwise your registration will not process.

While there is no registration deadline, once all the tables at a given fair are reserved, the fair is sold out and registration will be closed. Our events typically sell out, so it is best if you sign up quickly.
