Building Bridges on Campus - Our Ideas

Ideas

There are so many things you can do to build bridges on campus. Maybe some of these ideas will inspire you:

  • Students, career counselors, and service-learning staff can work together to advocate for loan forgiveness programs for students who work in public service careers after graduating
  • Students can work with the Alumni Affairs office to establish a directory of alumni working in nonprofits
  • A student activist group and a student volunteer group can co-host a week of service projects and actions around a given topic. For example, they could organize volunteers to work at a soup kitchen, as well as arrange a meeting with a state representative to advocate for fairer housing policies.
