Mission:

Honoring Humanity & the Natural World in the Pursuit of Health

Foundation Human Nature (FHN) is a non-profit organization that directly assists the long-term sustainable development of communities in the developing world, in accordance with local needs and knowledge, to improve their quality of life.

Partnering local, national and international communities, we are establishing sustainable programs in the fields of health, education, gender issues, economics and ecological activities. We aim to improve the opportunities and autonomy of local families guided by our ethos of sustainable human development. Through mutual learning and volunteer participation, we are increasing the global awareness of the developing world.

Foundation Human Nature USA (FHN USA) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and a member of Foundation Human Nature International (FHN). FHN is comprised of three sponsor branches in UK, Germany and the USA, which direct support towards our two project branches - Ecuador and Ghana, where we currently manage integrated health programs.

The purpose of Foundation Human Nature USA is to raise awareness of the organization’s programs, to raise financial and technical support, and to solicit volunteers, enabling the project branches to fulfill their missions. Therefore, FHN USA organizes fundraising campaigns, conferences and promotional events. We invite interest from whomever wishes to assist us in our efforts.

At present, FHN USA is directing our support towards our Latin America project in Ecuador, located in the Esmeraldas province. In 2001, together with local communities, we constructed the region's first health center in the central village. The center provides the 5,000 inhabitants of the region with quality health care. In the same region, we have also initiated projects to address other integral aspects of development including education, conservation, gender issues, and micro-economics.
