Venture House

Venture House is a non-profit organization operating an accredited Clubhouse in Jamaica, Queens dedicated to enabling people with serious mental illness to live successfully in the community. It was founded in 1988. Venture House and is organized as a Clubhouse that members and staff run together. There are about 240 active members ages 18 and up, with an average daily attendance of 70 members.

The Clubhouse creates opportunities for members to meet their needs and goals, shared by all people; meaningful work; sustaining relationships; secure housing; adequate income; access to medical care and education; membership in a community where one is valued; and above all, self respect and hope.
