Mission: To rectify disparities in women’s healthcare in underserved regions of the world through education, clinical research, and innovation GIRHL is a 501c(3) organization that believes that every woman should have quality reproductive healthcare, regardless of socioeconomic status, religious and political beliefs, and geographical location. Its uses research, innovation, and advocacy to transform the quality of reproductive health care of underserved women around the world. GIRHL works with local health care professionals to identify key deficits in health care delivery and implementation. In tandem with these professionals, it researches and develops solutions to these deficits by either improving existing processes or researching new approaches to the problem. Its engineering perspective and methods make it unique among peer organizations. GIRHL’s research focuses on understanding the root causes of the deficit or problem as well as the people and communities it impacts. Solutions are developed in a culturally sensitive and involved manner. By supporting healthy women in their own environment, GIRHL is strengthening children, families, and communities.
