The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.

Programs and services provided include disaster services (providing food, shelter, medical care, and emergency financial support), service to Armed Forces and Military Families, Utility Assistance, International Services, Health and Safety Services, Youth Services, and Blood Services.
