Graduate NYC! is an initiative of the City University of New York (CUNY), the NYC Department of Education (DOE), and the Mayor's Office to address the achievement gap in college access and completion.
This partnership was initially launched with a $3 million Communities Learning in Partnership (CLIP) grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and is currently supported by multiple private funders, the NYC DOE and CUNY. GNYC specifically aims to increase college readiness and degree completion among young New Yorkers, with the goal of doubling the number of college graduates from CUNY between 2009 and 2020.
