Teach For America | Nashville-Chattanooga

Teach For America Nashville-Chattanooga recruits, develops, and mobilizes a diverse coalition of high impact education leaders who support schools to provide a limitless education to students. Great classrooms, schools, and districts require exceptional leadership, and in the past few years, our city and state have unleashed transformational initiatives. Teach For America – in partnership with other champions for Nashville and Chattanooga students – is a part of this work. Over 160 Teach For America corps members teach in schools across Nashville and Chattanooga, reaching nearly 13,000 Tennessee students. Over 800 Teach For America alumni call Nashville home, and a growing number of alumni are moving to Chattanooga. These alumni across both cities have assumed notable positions in school leadership and education policy. Our entire network of corps member and alumni are working with our communities to create long-term, sustainable change across Tennessee. We believe that, 10 years from now, we’ll look back on this as the decade when the people of Nashville and Chattanooga came together to change the life prospects for our children
