What books, magazines, periodicals, websites or other materials should people read to learn more about this field?
I'm not sure.

What questions would you ask of someone who wants to do this work?
Why do you want to do this? How do you deal with a lot of stress? Have you ever given up on anything? What is your school's mission and what practices will you employ to ensure that your school meets that mission?

In what kinds of jobs can recent college graduates have the most impact in your field?
Become a teacher assistant and learn from other teachers. These positions help students achieve because of the small-group nature of the work.

What are the major trends and/or key issues in your field?
Are charter schools serving kids better than traditional public schools? Are charter schools sustainable? Do charter schools have a systemic impact?

What forms of support and/or advice have you found most valuable (mentoring, trainings, professional development, attending conferences, etc.)?
Finding peers who do the same work as me!

What is a common or tough interview question a candidate in your field should be prepared to answer?
How will your charter school be financially sustainable from public funds only?

What other advice would you give people who want to do this work?
Have balance in your life so you are able to turn off work and focus on keeping your body and mind and spirit healthy and renewed.
