A Day in the Life
What are three things you love and three things you find challenging or frustrating about your work?
Love:
1.  Working with people
2.  Working for an organization that does good works
3.  Learning new technologies

Challenging or frustrating:
1.  Low salary
2.  Little room for advancement (at this job)
3.

What is the most important task on your desk right now?
Anything that helps users

What drives you to do this work? What makes you want to get out of bed every morning?
I enjoy working with people, teaching and helping them. And I especially enjoy doing this work for organizations that 'matter' and do good work, such as those in government, education, and the nonprofit sector.

How often do you "dress up" for work? Describe the culture of your organization.
Rarely. Some departments dress up more than others, depending on their dealings with outside clients. But in the IT department I have to dress to climb around, if necessary.

In a typical month, about what percentage of your time is spent on the following activities?
Talking on the phone 5%
Dealing with email 65%
Meetings with individuals 10%
Meetings with groups/committees 1%
Writing 5%
Reading 25%
Researching 25%

(Note: respondents could allow their answers to add up to be more than 100%)

What do you do when you are feeling burned out at work?
Take a walk.
