Career Path
What was your first job after college and how did you get it?
Admin support at a medical school. I started as a temp and went perm.

How did you get your current job?
Found a job posting online, and volunteered for a few months before getting hired part-time, then eventually full-time.

What experiences and/or course work in college best prepared you for this job or influenced your decision to do this work?
I took GIS (geographic information system) classes as part of my geography major requirement. I didn't expect to do GIS as my career, but I wanted to be in the enviro field. It just kinda happened...

Any regrets? What experiences and/or course work might have better prepared you for this work?
No regrets. I didn't take any urban planning courses becuase I didn't (and don't) like it. But a little knowledge now would be useful.

Have you attended graduate school or are you considering graduate school? What degree do you have/would you want and why? Are there any limitations to advancement in your field if you do not have a certain graduate degree?
I think about grad school, but I'm not sure yet. I am having trouble figuring out what I would go for. In my field, the more education/understanding you have, the farther you can go.
