What was your first job after college and how did you get it?
This is my first job after college. I did an apprenticeship program called Public Allies, which places young people with social justice groups. I was hired after that 10-month apprenticeship.
How did you get your current job?

What experiences and/or course work in college best prepared you for this job or influenced your decision to do this work?
I think my sociology classes best prepared me for this job, as they taught me to understand how race, class, gender and sexuality operate within institutions, and the distinctions and similarities within nonprofit culture.
Any regrets? What experiences and/or course work might have better prepared you for this work?
I wish I would have taken more Spanish classes and studied abroad in a Spanish-speaking country.
Have you attended graduate school or are you considering graduate school? What degree do you have/would you want and why? Are there any limitations to advancement in your field if you do not have a certain graduate degree?
I have considered a graduate degree in public health or law, but I have no plans to pursue either.
