A Day in the Life
What are three things you love and three things you find challenging or frustrating about your work?
Love:
1.  Helping to improve urban kids' education
2.  Curriculum development
3.  Staff development

Challenging or frustrating:
1.  Fundraising
2.  Organizing 23 schools
3.  Data collection and evaluation

What is the most important task on your desk right now?
Recruiting 15 undergraduate and graduate students to facilitate our program in 23 middle schools.

What drives you to do this work? What makes you want to get out of bed every morning?
Knowing that many children do not have the advantages that I had as a child; my passion is evening the educational playing field.

How often do you "dress up" for work? Describe the culture of your organization.
I dress up maybe once every two months. My organization is very casual. Right now, I'm wearing jeans and a Nike pullover.

In a typical month, about what percentage of your time is spent on the following activities?
Talking on the phone 5%
