What books, magazines, periodicals, websites or other materials should people read to learn more about this field?
I would define my field as association management. A good information sources is the American Society of Association Executives (www.asaenet.org).

In what kinds of jobs can recent college graduates have the most impact in your field?
Marketing, government affairs, communications, educational programs

What are the major trends and/or key issues in your field?
Effective resource management, customer (member) service, thinking out of the box

What forms of support and/or advice have you found most valuable (mentoring, trainings, professional development, attending conferences, etc.)?
mentoring and workshops

What is a common or tough interview question a candidate in your field should be prepared to answer?
1. What is the profile of the job you'd like to have?
2. What do you like and not like in a boss?
What other advice would you give people who want to do this work?
Trade off money for visibility early in your career. Don't worry too much about specializing. Look for jobs that are open-ended rather than ones with narrow, well-defined job descriptions.
