A Day in the Life
What are three things you love and three things you find challenging or frustrating about your work?
Love:
1.  The fun and interesting people I get to work with
2.  The knowledge I've gained in a short time
3.  I'm doing something that positively impacts lives

Challenging or frustrating:
1.  No easy solution and many are just band-aids
2.  Learning all of the acronyms
3.

What is the most important task on your desk right now?
Developing an Advocacy Toolkit for direct service providers

What drives you to do this work? What makes you want to get out of bed every morning?
The knowledge that I'm working to make someone's life better and ultimately putting them on a path to end hunger.

How often do you "dress up" for work? Describe the culture of your organization.
Not often. If I feel like looking extra nice, I dress up, but the office is very casual. Jeans are ok

In a typical month, about what percentage of your time is spent on the following activities?
Talking on the phone 15%
Dealing with email 15%
Meetings with individuals 10%
Meetings with groups/committees 10%
Traveling 15%
Writing 30%
Reading 5%
Researching 25%

(Note: respondents could allow their answers to add up to be more than 100%)

What do you do when you are feeling burned out at work?
Go to the next project, email, talk to a co-worker, take a walk, or listen to a CD.
