What books, magazines, periodicals, websites or other materials should people read to learn more about this field?
Sweet Charity, frac.com, centeronhunger.org, bread.org, look at USDA food insecurity data/reports, learn about government "safety net" programs.

What questions would you ask of someone who wants to do this work?
Why do you want to do this? What is your passion? Do you think you are a leader? How and Why? What are some results that you plan to achieve through your work efforts?

In what kinds of jobs can recent college graduates have the most impact in your field?
Policy/Advocacy

What are the major trends and/or key issues in your field?
The increase in Food Insecurity and Hunger
Increasing access and participation in Child Nutrition Programs and the Food Stamp Program
Hunger and Poverty Issues

What forms of support and/or advice have you found most valuable (mentoring, trainings, professional development, attending conferences, etc.)?
Trainings, conferences and meetings with a variety of people with different perspectives has been key.

What other advice would you give people who want to do this work?
It's a real eye opener, a lot of work, very frustrating, but one of the best experiences I've had.
