What was your first job after college and how did you get it?
Directing an afterschool program for elementary & middle school kids. I got the job through making the right call to the right person at the right time—through a newspaper ad. I know the woman was impressed by my alma mater and took me
very seriously because of it.

What experiences and/or course work in college best prepared you for this job or influenced your decision to do this work?
N/A—my graduate work prepared me for a job in the non-profit sector.
Any regrets? What experiences and/or course work might have better prepared you for this work?
No regrets. I enjoyed my college courses immensely and although they do not relate directly to my current job, I use the periphery skills daily.
Have you attended graduate school or are you considering graduate school? What degree do you have/would you want and why? Are there any limitations to advancement in your field if you do not have a certain graduate degree?
I have an MSW from Tulane University. If I had it to do over again, I might pursue an MBA instead of an MSW. I may go back for an MBA eventually.
