Event

Event posted by: Hostelling International Boston, Cape Cod and Islands

Event description

Women Solo Travel Image

For centuries, women have been traveling and doing it solo. Long before airplanes, seatbelts, backpacks for women, or the internet, women have always traveled. You can too!

In this HI-USA workshop, attendees will learn the basics of traveling solo. Learn how to get out there and travel the right way, from staying in hostels to adapting a basic credo around respect and approaching situations. Workshop leader Leah Moschella, Director of Girls Leadership, Organized Women (GLOW), will share some exciting skills, safety pointers, and general travel resources on how to get the most out of your travel experience. Additionally, she'll share tips, tricks and practical advice from her own travels on what works best for solo female travelers. This workshop will be interactive and include exercises and discussions about solo travel experiences, itinerary planning and mapping out the basics. By the end, you should feel comfortable and ready to get out there and start your first solo journey!
