Inspirica is one of the largest organizations serving homeless people in southern Connecticut. We provide emergency, transitional and permanent housing, support services, youth services, education and employment training to more than 400 adults and children in lower Fairfield County each year. Our mission is to break the cycle of homelessness by helping people achieve – and maintain – permanent housing and stability in their lives. This includes providing education and employment training, and collaborating with a vast array of external partners to provide medical/dental care, mental health care, substance abuse treatment etc

FULL TIME CASE MANAGER FOR PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING (PSH): Monday through Friday 8:00 to 5:00: The goal of PSH is to successfully integrate people with a history of chronic homelessness to permanent housing in the community and to help them sustain this housing indefinitely. The Case Manager's duties include: (i) meeting individually with tenants to provide support in the areas of ADL's, social skills, money management, employment, job retention etc.; (ii) liaising with Inspirica's external partners, including referring tenants to services and participating in treatment team meetings; (iii) working with program and property management staff to ensure that the building and surrounding facilities are in compliance with health, safety and fire codes; and (iv) other case management functions including preparing progress notes, service plans, incident reports, log books, etc. Candidates should have: MSW or related degree preferred; three years of experience working with the homeless, mental health consumers, and/or substance abuse; strong computer skills (MS Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel); excellent clinical and organizational skills

PART TIME WEEKEND PROGRAM AIDES: Multiple positions available to work two to three regularly scheduled shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday either 11pm-7AM, 7AM-3PM, OR 3PM-11PM. Job duties include: Assisting participants as needed to provide support in the areas of ADL's, social skills, money management, employment, job retention etc., monitoring client medication, preparing progress notes, incident reports, log books, bed checks, maintenance checklist forms, supply inventory and ordering, possibility of preparing meals when there is no meal provider, etc. Candidates should have: Bachelors Degree; three years of experience working with the homeless, mental health consumers, substance abuse, and/or families; strong computer skills (MS Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel); excellent clinical and organizational skills etc.

PER DIEM PROGRAM AIDES: Multiple positions available to be called as needed to fill in when regularly scheduled staff are not available. Same duties as for part-time program aides above.
