Volunteer Opprotunity: He'eia State Park Beautification Day

Posted by: Kama'aina Kids

Description

Join us for a day of volunteering at beautiful He'eia State Park in Kaneohe, Hawaii! The park beautification day will be held on May 18th from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Lunch and water will be provided. To prepare the state park for an influx of summer visitors and Kama'aina Kids summer camp participants, we need help expanding the park's waterfront area on Kaneohe Bay. Invasive mangrove and other brush is overrunning certain areas of the park, particularly along He'eia stream and needs to be cleared. Volunteers should bring work gloves and any brush clearing tools they may have (weed wackers etc...). RSVP to the event by May 13 to ensure that we have a meal for you. Email Claire Dewey at claire@kamaainakids.com if interested in volunteering!
