Posted by: Henry George School of Social Science

Description

Thirty years of economic growth throughout Asia has lifted millions out of poverty and raised standards of living. However, these gains have often come at the expense of environmental destruction, increasing inequality and curtailment of basic human rights.

This study group reviews the causes, consequences, and lessons of this unique period in the economic history of Asia. Co-ordinated by Nadia Alwi. Group meets every Thursday for 3 weeks.
