Free Trees at BIG!NYC

Description

Build It Green!NYC is thrilled to host another NYRP's MillionTreesNYC FREE Tree Giveaways this Spring! We will host two giveaways - one on Saturday, May 4th from 11am to 1pm at our Astoria reuse center, and a second giveaway on Sunday, May 5th from 11am to 1pm at our Gowanus reuse center.

You can now RESERVE your tree (and pre-select the species that you would like to adopt!). Please read the requirements below and then fill out the online registration form. Please be sure to select the correct date and location.

TREE REQUIREMENTS

To pick up a free tree, you must agree:

  • To plant in one of the five boroughs.
  • To keep trees properly watered and maintained.
  • Not to plant along streets, in containers, terraces, balconies or on roofs.
  • Approved planting locations include: front/back yards, community center, community garden, faith-based center, schoolyard, commercial property, co-op or condo yard.
