Intro to google docs

Posted by: Open Media Foundation

Description

Class Description

Intro to Google Docs class will cover the basics of using Google's free, web-based software and storage service. Google Docs is a comprehensive suite of applications for business or personal needs, including spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, forms, and even drawing. Woven into each application is the powerful search functionality that is Google; this lecture-based class details what makes Google Docs so useful, what applications are available, security concerns, and includes hands-on instruction using various Google Docs. We'll explore the different ways to take advantage of the best of what Google Docs has to offer! Students are required to have a gmail (Google Mail) account before registering for this class, but no experience using Google.docs is expected. Upon completion of this class, students will be able to create, edit, and share their own Google Docs, as well as learn useful short-cuts and formatting considerations.
