Shorebird Park Nature Center

The Bay Interpretive Training Docent program (Bay IT) trains volunteers to help lead educational programs for children and adults at the Berkeley Marina.. A formal, fun, hands-on training for docents happens October through March. We train for a program, teach that program to kids, then train for the next program.

The trainings allow you to first experience the education program as a student - you get to learn interesting background information on all the topics, then you experience the hands on learning stations where we teach you how to interact with the students.
