About us

Our goal is "Mobilizing people and resources to deliver creative solutions to community problems."

The Volunteer Center strives to increase volunteerism in Montgomery County by facilitating community members in their search for volunteer activities. Volunteer matching is done both online with the database and over the phone with trained volunteer advisors. There are opportunities for volunteers of all ages and skill level:

  • Students can find Student Service Learning approved projects
  • Seniors can find opportunities that you use their experience and fit their schedules in the RSVP Program
  • Professionals can find time-limited, skills-based projects through the Pro Bono Consultant Program

The Volunteer Center also works to help nonprofits meet their goals and maximize their impact on the local community. This is done by sharing resources and information on how to maximize volunteer retention and utilization through volunteer management best practices.
