About Us

Kennebec Valley Community College prepares students to achieve their educational, professional, and personal goals in a supportive environment through shared values of responsibility, integrity, and respect.

Kennebec Valley Community College is one of seven community colleges which operates under the authority of the Maine Community College System Board of Trustees, located on a seventy-acre campus in Fairfield and a new 620-acre campus in Hinckley, Maine.

A centerpiece of the new campus is a 120-acre certified organic farm. The Farm at KVCC will be linked to the new KVCC Center for Farm-to-Table Innovation (F2T), a cluster of academic programs, infrastructure and co-curricular activities that focus not only on the vocation of farming, but also on the science and business practices that lead to value-added production of wholesome agricultural products. KVCC will offer Maine’s first two-year degrees and certificate programs in farm-to-table disciplines: sustainable agriculture, food science, and culinary arts. The Farm at KVCC and F2T will serve as a statewide hub focused on developing a key segment of the local workforce and supporting the backbone of the mid-Maine economy.
