Internship description

Summary

The Web Development and Marketing Intern will assist The Trevor Project's Marketing department with various tasks including, but not limited to, web development, website management, as well as marketing and administrative office work.

Key Responsibilities

The Web Development and Marketing Intern will be responsible for the following:

  • Working with the Webmaster on updates to The Trevor Project's website and campaign microsite
  • Assisting with the organization's website redesign project
  • Assisting the Webmaster in managing Google Adwords campaigns
  • Reporting and analytics for The Trevor Project's website
  • Assisting with brainstorming and planning for upcoming marketing campaigns
  • Other projects as assigned by the Marketing Team and other departments
  • General administrative tasks

Qualifications

  • Basic web development experience, including HTML, Javascript, and CSS
  • Experience with Content Management Systems
  • Experience with Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Video editing experience is a plus
  • Experience with DSLR cameras is a plus
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or have recently completed one
  • Volunteer and/or service experience
  • Experience or interest in working for an LGBTQ cause
  • High level of professionalism with good comprehension skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Friendly and outgoing personality, enthusiasm and dedication to teamwork
  • Demonstrated experience working in a multicultural environment where commitment to diversity based on race, ethnic origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, and physical ability is an important institutional value
  • Strong commitment to The Trevor Project's mission

Compensation

This is a 16 hour per week, summer internship running through August 31st. Compensation is $10 per hour.
