Volunteer Engagement Intern

Key Responsibilities:

• Be an ambassador for Bright Beginnings' materials and for potential volunteers
• Attend necessary volunteer engagement meetings
• Assist with the development of a series of online volunteer training models
• Develop new group visit sites across Metro Denver
• Devise strategies for a neighbor-to-neighbor volunteer coordination approach
• Support and train volunteers that assist with office tasks
• Coordinate visits between families requesting services and volunteers
• Assist with the volunteer application and interview process
• Enter data in the Bright Beginnings database

Support:

• Ongoing support and supervision from Manager of Volunteer Services
• Access to literature and trainings regarding volunteer engagement

Qualifications:

• Personable
• Junior or Senior in College
• Desire to learn
• Excellent communication skills
• Provide your own transportation
• Computer skills
• Experience recruiting, training, and supporting groups of people
• Fluency in Spanish, a plus
