The volunteer coordinator works with Northwest Film Forum staff to fill volunteer positions (administrative support, box office and concessions, projectionists, internships, film production, special events, work parties and street teams). In this role, the volunteer coordinator provides a crucial connection point between intern and volunteer corps and staff.

Weekly tasks include:

  • Receiving, reviewing, processing and responding to volunteer applications and inquiries in a timely manner

  • Maintaining a master volunteer schedule and database, and registering active volunteers with volunteer memberships
  • Maintaining regular contact with present, past and potential volunteer base via email and other social media outlets
  • Assist in the planning of an special events requiring extra volunteers, scheduling volunteers for said events and managing them on site

This position is 6-10 hours per week and is unpaid. Some hours can be worked from home but one regular 2-4 hour shift at the Film Forum office during daytime administrative hours (10am-6pm weekdays) is required. Northwest Film Forum requests a minimum commitment to the position of six months. Priority consideration will be given to applicants with previous experience managing a non-profit volunteer program.
