Uganda Youth and Women's Effort Fighting AIDS (UYWEFA) is humanitarian NGO working to mitigate the effects of HIV/AIDS. We are seeking for a reliable and hardworking volunteer to manage our finances and also to educate our local volunteers in accounting and business. UYWEFA is based in the community of Kazo, located 20 Km North West of Uganda's capital, Kampala. Our organizationcreates access to basic education for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs) and the opportunity for women living with HIV/AIDS to gain entrepreneurial skills and become self-reliant.
The volunteer will also have an opportunity to involve him or herself in some of UYWEFA's other projects and community activities. We are seeking an individual with experience and education in accounting and or business administration. Other useful skills include: project development, proposal writing, and fundraising.
·Start date is flexible, however, volunteers will be asked to commit to one term (3 months).
·Language and cultural lessons will be provided.
·A home stay will be organized by UYWEFA for a small monthly fee.
·Volunteers will have the opportunity to participate on many other projects that UYWEFA is currently implementing.
