POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Civic Engagement & Immigration intern will support the Director of Immigration and Civic Engagement. The Civic Engagement & Immigration intern will be responsible for a variety of projects related to Hispanic Federation's immigration and civic engagement program. The position will provide natural opportunities to learn and will require the ability to remain flexible and adaptable in regard to work assignments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Immigration:
• Assist with coordination of immigration town halls, citizenship drives, advocacy, etc.
• Correspond with member agencies for collaboration with immigration activities.
• Assist with outreach for upcoming immigration activities.
Civic Engagement:
- Assist with coordination and implementation of voter registration and get-out-the-vote work plan.
- Assist with tracking and reporting data and progress.
- Other organizing activities as needed.
Other Responsibilities:
• Attend NY DREAM Coalition meetings, town halls, voter registration events, immigration events and other Hispanic Federation events as needed.

- Fluency in Spanish required.
