Internship description

GameDesk is looking for an intern to help them with their MathMaker project, an innovative and engaging math curriculum that teaches students math concepts by letting them design games using GameMaker software. The internship is for 10-20 hours a week in the GameDesk office located in West Los Angeles. While the work schedule offers some flexibility, all hours will need to be completed during normal office hours (10:00am - 7:00pm). We would like the intern to start as soon as possible. This is a paid internship with an hourly rate of $12.

Duties

Primary duties include creating simple games using GameMaker under the direction of a small team of curriculum developers.

Requirements

Fluency in GameMaker software and the ability to create working executable files is a must.

The ability to rapid prototype games and implement feedback from math teachers is essential.

Since the position requires working with math instructors, an interest in middle and high school mathematics is desirable.

Intern must be a self-starter, hard-working, and comfortable working in fast-paced and energetic work environment.
