Girls in Power is looking to hire an individual experienced in writing, research and online blogging. Will be asked to:
Write blogs on topics related to empowerment of young girls (at least 2 blogs per week; theme of topic provided)
Write YouTube video descriptions and other online writing tasks
Aid in finding empowered individuals to speak
Have blogs entries edited and reviewed before posting
The following training will be provided:
- SEO training
- WP training
- Syndication training
Requirements:
English major or minor preferred
Knowledge: Can creatively write; can embed blog photos, clip art into blog entries; knows how to promote info on YouTube; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Skills: written communication; fact research and online blogging; skilled at describing a topic in a clear and engaging manner; can creatively integrate past or current events into relevant speeches or apply it to their own lives in an understandable manner.
Abilities: able to be creative and innovative with entries via media additions or descriptors.
Other Characteristics: must have an interest in empowering young girls and related topics, e.g., self-confidence building, identity formation, emotional healing and struggle, etc.
College Credit available.
