Description

The National Organization on Disability (NOD) is seeking a college intern to assist with fundraising and communications efforts.

The internship opportunity will introduce the candidate to the internal activities of a national non-profit organization. The intern will work closely with employees in the development and communications departments.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to learn and an ability to find solutions to problems. Seeking an individual who can commit to one or two days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Database maintenance, including data entry.
  • Maintaining organizational files.
  • Assistance with producing large and small mailings.
  • Ordering office supplies, preparing jobs for vendors.
  • Other duties, as requested.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Mac and PC computer platforms.
  • Ability to type with close attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel and Adobe PDF programs.
  • Proficiency with website and/or graphic design programs is desirable.
