The National Organization on Disability (NOD) is seeking a college intern to assist with fundraising and communications efforts.
The internship opportunity will introduce the candidate to the internal activities of a national non-profit organization. The intern will work closely with employees in the development and communications departments.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to learn and an ability to find solutions to problems. Seeking an individual who can commit to one or two days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Database maintenance, including data entry.
- Maintaining organizational files.
- Assistance with producing large and small mailings.
- Ordering office supplies, preparing jobs for vendors.
- Other duties, as requested.
Requirements:
- Experience with Mac and PC computer platforms.
- Ability to type with close attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel and Adobe PDF programs.
- Proficiency with website and/or graphic design programs is desirable.
