About the Fundraising Department:
Fundraising is vital to sustaining NESRI and supporting the growth of both the organization and our programs. NESRI works with partners and allies to build a broad social movement for economic and social rights, and as a small organization we are in need of qualified interns to help us in all facets of our work.
Description of Internship Opportunity:
Internship responsibilities will include: fundraising database support, prospecting research, event planning support, and editing and production of grant and fundraising materials. Responsibilities can be modified to suit the interests and skills of the intern. We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week. This is an unpaid internship. NESRI is located in New York City.
The intern will learn about fundraising strategies in the non-profit sector and the human rights movement.
NESRI values a diverse workplace and encourages students with non-traditional experiences and from historically underrepresented groups to apply.
NESRI is looking for a Fundraising Intern for Summer 2013. Exact dates are flexible.
In partnership with communities, NESRI works to build a broad movement for economic & social rights, including health, housing, education and work with dignity. Based on the principle that fundamental human needs create human rights obligations on the part of government and the private sector, NESRI advocates for public policies that guarantee the universal and equitable fulfillment of these rights in the United States.
