Seeking Help on Project for The Woman’s National Democratic Club

Posted on: May 1, 2013

Posted by: Woman's National Democratic Club

Description

The Woman's National Democratic Club Public Policy Committee is hiring a paid intern to work on a short term multidimensional project. The Committee has twelve active task forces covering a wide range of issues. The chair of each task force is an expert in the field. During the 2012 election campaign the Committee issued statements, action alerts, news analysis, a "Candidate Watch" and other publications.

The Public Policy committee will be publishing a soft cover book on "The Woman's National Democratic Club - The 2012 elections". It will have four chapters: "The Campaign", "The Candidates", "The Issues" and "The Future".

An intern will be needed for a significant amount of work. A background in graphic design or publishing is important as the major job requirement will be taking the texts produced by the Public Policy Committee members and styling them into a publishable book. Some research will be required. Formatting and putting material in a consistent style will be necessary and time consuming, as well as work related to marketing our product. Intern would work with several PPC task force chairs in addition to the chair and the vice chair. Intern should have background and expertise in producing materials for publication

After this project is completed there will be work relating to three new post-election public policy goals, including research on these issues. There will also be work on developing new email lists and getting our materials out on social media.
