HILLS is a non-profit organization based in Denver that provides social, recreation and vacation programs for people with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injury. We are looking for an intern that is interested in gaining experience with a small and flexible non-profit that needs assistance in planning 2 events: one is a fundraiser event that will be held in Septembe and the other is an appreciation BBQ event for our clients and supporters held in May. Responsibilities include:
-Contacting businesses to get donations of: auction items, invitations, food, drinks, decorations, entertainment.
-Publicity of Events.
-Contacting and organizing volunteers for the event.
-Assisting with logistics on the day of the event.
-Talking with the executive director every other week to update her on progress.
The ideal person would be able to commit to at least 2 hours per week from now until May and if possible continue with any pending items for the September event over the summer.
