Ashoka is currently seeking a Web Services Intern to support a range of projects within the Integrated Technology Initiative's web team. The intern will work with Ashoka ITI staff on a variety of projects such as website support/administration, graphic design, inventory management, business intelligence, system upgrades, and other IT functions. The selected candidate will be responsible for engaging with Ashoka country and local offices to help support Ashoka's IT infrastructure globally. This is an excellent opportunity to be an integral part of a team transforming mission critical IT infrastructure within a global organization.
Start Date: Immediately Duration: 2-3 months, with possibility for extension Commitment: 10-20 hours per week Compensation: Unpaid
Specific Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: • Website administration/support • Content preparation and posting (images and text) • Site metrics analysis and reporting • Search engine optimization • Technology research, analysis and strategy • Process/Policy documentation • Development of training resources
Qualifications: • Drupal CMS and website administration • HTML coding (e.g. Dreamweaver) • Graphics editing (e.g. Photoshop) • Linux command-line and mySQL experience a plus • Ability to learn quickly through accessing a variety of resources • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team • Ability to manage time wisely and prioritize activities to achieve results • Demonstrated creativity in vision and problem solving with a strong ethical fiber
