Internship description

Our Mission is to address hunger in The Capital Region through our member food pantries by providing funding, collecting and delivering food, and providing volunteers. We also support our pantries by providing education, coordination of services, training, and networking.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize, outreach and coordinate food drives to support our member pantries
  • Assist with data collection, input, management and analysis
  • Assist in writing and editing monthly newsletter
  • Assist with preparation, facilitation and follow-up to monthly Membership meetings
  • Assist with administrative tasks and other day to day activities
  • Assist with additional special projects and tasks upon discussion

Qualities/Skills Required:

  • Commitment and interest in Hunger Relief and non-profit program management
  • Computer literate in excel, word, etc.
  • Highly Organized and self- motivated
  • Capable of taking initiative and multi-tasking
  • Ability to work independently and in a group
  • Creative, flexible and able to receive suggestions and feedback
  • Reliable
  • Possession of driver's license helpful
