All Out Arts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to fighting discrimination through the arts, is currently accepting resumes for spring interns for its 11th Annual Fresh Fruit Festival, a multi-disciplinary celebration of LGBTQ arts and artists.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Fresh Fruit Festival seeks interns (graduate-level preferred) to work on in-depth special projects in four key areas:

Development: Supporting all areas of Fresh Fruit Festival's fundraising efforts, with a primary emphasis on individual giving and membership. Additionally, intern will facilitate direct mail campaign, researching possible individual and institutional funders, organize and maintain development files, and facilitate special projects, as needed.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL: The Fresh Fruit Festival is presented by All Out Arts to celebrate the LGBTQ community's unique perspective, creativity & diversity, and to build links between the LGBTQ artistic communities, be they local or international. The festival showcases the whole spectrum of LGBTQ lives as expressed in theatre, performance art, dance, film, spoken word, graphic arts, music & beyond. Last years' festival featured a "high stakes" poetry slam, two weeks of theater and performance art, dance, jazz, an art exhibit, variety acts, and a comedy show, among other works.

DATES: Internship to begin in January 2013 through May (dates are flexible), with possible extension into summer, if desired. Seeking minimum of two full days commitment (10am – 6pm work hours).

COMPENSATION: This is an unpaid internship, however All Out Arts can arrange college credit through your institution, if desired.
