International Justice Mission is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local officials to ensure immediate victim rescue and aftercare, to prosecute perpetrators and to promote functioning public justice systems.
The DC internship program is designed to give undergraduate students through young professionals the opportunity to serve in IJM's headquarters. By being an intern you will participate in the ongoing work of protecting the rights of those subject to violent forms of oppression and human rights abuses.
Constituent Engagement interns are key members of one of IJM Global Communications' newest initiatives. They use their communication expertise to engage constituents more deeply with IJM, suggest opportunities for involvement, and communicate the IJM message to a wide and varied audience. They are comfortable communicating via phone and are able to build rapport quickly.
