Internship description

NARAL Pro-Choice America is looking for a committed and responsible pro-choice individual for the CAN Internship. The CAN Intern will work with the Communications and Online Advocacy Strategies team to support NARAL Pro-Choice America's outreach. This internship is a paid position.

Position description:

This internship is an excellent opportunity to learn about online communications, media strategy and press relations.

The intern will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating CAN messages (editing, routing, designing, launching) for our state affiliates.
  • Assisting with the CAN email inbox: respond to questions from CAN members and students and track weekly communication trends.
  • Assisting with social media correspondence and follow-up.
  • Performing online messaging statistics tracking.
  • Participate in daily and weekly media strategy meetings with the communications team.
  • Other communication duties as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, organized, and efficient with strong computer and people skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is a must. General office experience is helpful. The intern should have a strong interest in social media and online relations, political advocacy, and reproductive-rights work. We prefer candidates who can work full-time.
