Internship description

About Education Pioneers Education Pioneers is a national nonprofit ($10M annual budget) with a bold vision to transform education in the United States. We believe that the right leaders and managers in the right K-12 education organizations will improve the performance of these organizations and result in better teaching and learning results for our nation's children.

The largest K-12 school systems in our country have budgets and challenges on par with Fortune 500 companies. Highly successful private sector organizations know that the best way to achieve ambitious results is to find, develop, and retain the best people in leadership and management roles. To see a fundamental shift in education, Education Pioneers believes that our nation's top leaders and managers must flock to opportunities in the education sector like they flock to our nation's most successful corporations.

To transform the education sector, Education Pioneers has an ambitious goal: attract and prepare 10,000 new leaders, managers, and analysts by our 20th anniversary in 2023. Since 2004, we have attracted and prepared more than 1,600 of our nation's top leaders, managers, and analysts, 70% of whom are working in education today.

Education Pioneers is a brand on the rise in education. Just last month Philanthropedia ranked us among the top five high impact education non-profits in the Bay area. In the past four years alone more than 10,000 promising professionals have applied to our selective Fellowship programs. We have strong momentum and support from our nation's top education philanthropists. We have consistently surpassed our revenue targets, have seen a more than 50% increase in our web traffic since June 2012, and have a strong executive team focused on talent development and sound management practices.

We are looking for more great people to join our team and help us realize our vision. Our team includes talented leaders from the private and nonprofit sectors; experts from education, management, policy, and law; and advanced degree holders as well as recent college graduates. Over 90% of Education Pioneers staff say they would recommend working at Education Pioneers to a friend.
